We women is delighted to announce that our scholarship recipient, Pong Wan, was one of only three students to be awarded a gold medal from her university for outstanding academic achievement. Pong Wan had the following to say about her award:
“To be honest with you, I wasn't expecting that I would win the medal, I was just informed that I was on the Dean’s list for being an outstanding student and was going to receive a certificate, since my GPA is over 3.5. I was flabbergasted when they called my name for the gold medal, as only 3 students were granted one. Having said that, perhaps I was a good student consistently, who’s been working really hard. And I have been continuously involved in activities both outside and inside of university.
I have always made myself available and rendered my support to any lecturers in conducting sports or any international events in the university. With this I would like to say that I am thankful for the place where I currently live. For that I would like to express my deepest heartfelt gratitude to We women for your continuous support, without you I wouldn't be standing proudly here...”
Pong Wan is studying for her BA in politics, philosophy, and economics at Rangsit University in Bangkok.
