About Us
The We women foundation strives for equality for different groups of people in the world. We women is committed to encouraging creative initiatives and supporting personal growth, mental and emotional health as well as education for women, refugees, ethnic minorities and disadvantaged groups by giving them the opportunity to formulate their own needs within their communities without enforcing outsider beliefs upon them. We women’s ultimate goal is equality for all.
Founded in 2009, We women is a small grass-root and volunteer-led foundation registered in the Netherlands. We support extraordinary women from Myanmar who deeply understand the complex and diverse needs of their community. We support these women in realizing the potential they have to change their lives, their families' lives, and the lives of people in their communities to ultimately guide Myanmar through the initial steps toward becoming a fully-fledged democracy.
